“Look beyond and explore the energy of nature and the human connection to it.”
The encounter of Adele's imagination with the landscapes of Iceland and Finnish Lapland has influenced and enriched her palette and refined her research into the purity of snow-covered lands and celestial immensity.
ICELAND, DEAR ISLAND
In Iceland, water is the silent symphony shaping the landscapes, an eternal dance between the raw force of nature and the delicacy of the liquid element. From majestic glaciers to hidden hot springs, every drop of water tells a story of resilience and wonder. Roaring waterfalls like Gullfoss seem to defy gravity, while peaceful lakes reflect the calm and serenity of the Icelandic landscape. In this land of ice and fire, water is both the mirror of volcanic power and the guardian of life, reminding everyone who ventures there of the wild beauty and strenght of our planet.
“A landscape that blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination.”
LOOK BEYOND
According to Icelandic folklore, certain places in the rugged landscape possess an otherworldly magnetism, where the veil between the realms of the seen and unseen is thin. These magnetic spots, known as “kraftmikill staður” in Icelandic, are said to be imbued with powerful energy that can both enchant and bewilder those who encounter them.
